West Chicago, Illinois (October 27, 2011) — Emir Abinion, President of Fox Valley Auto Group, was a featured guest on the Chicago hit morning TV show, WCIU's “You & Me This Morning” with Melissa Forman and Jeanne Sparrow, where he discussed the LOVEbug3 contest, an event aimed at giving a brand new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle to both a deserving Chicagoland resident and local non-profit. This is the dealership’s third year doing the community program. The morning show focuses on a variety of lifestyle and happenings in Chicago. The show can be seen every week day from 6am to 8am on WCIU-TV.

Throughout the contest, local residents are encouraged to nominate someone that has made a difference in their life or the lives of others. Nominators share a story on the contest’s website, and once the story is submitted, it is up to the public to vote on their favorite story.

The contest runs for five months, with each month starting a new nomination and voting period. At the end of each voting period, votes are tallied, and the top two individuals will win a featured monthly prize and then be entered into the Top 10 for their chance to win the Grand Prize, a brand new 2012 Volkswagen Beetle.

This year, Fox Valley Auto Group has decided to "Share the Love" and added non-profits to the contest. A number of local non-profit organizations were selected this year to compete for their chance to also win a brand new Beetle for their organization to raffle off.

While Emir was busy inside sharing all the details of the competition, Ferdinand the Fox, the Fox Valley mascot, was outside the studio showing off one of a red Volkswagen Beetles that will be won that is hot off the Volkswagen assembly line since the new models were just shipped to Chicago this month.

Emir reminded viewers that the final round of nominations ends October 31.  Voting for the Grand Prize winner will take place from December 1-December 31. The Grand Prize winner and non-profit will be announced at a special ceremony on January 20, 2012.
